The festive season is here, a season where most people go on vacation. Therefore, most hotels, especially in the coastal region, are crowded. Domestic and foreign tourists make the coastal region busy as people visit it to enjoy their vacation.

I was not left behind; I needed a vacation and was planning for one in the coastal region. Voyager Beach Resort was the hotel I settled on to have an experience like no other.

This is a vibrant hotel with a stunning view and ship-themed. The hotel is famous for hosting some of Africa’s finest family entertainment and animation programs. For example, the unique themed journey across the seven seas, culinary extravaganza, and music, fashion, comedy, and acrobatic shows.

If you love ships and the ocean, this is a hotel for you. The hotel is set to offer the luxury, comfort, and fun you are looking forward to in that vacation.

Location of Voyager Beach Resort

The hotel is located in Nyali off Link Road, Mount Kenya Road, Mombasa. The nearest airport is Moi International Airport, which is 14 km from Voyager Beach.

The hotel is famous in Mombasa; therefore, it is located near famous attraction sites that you can visit while on vacation here. I was excited to visit these attractions. Examples of the attractions are:

1. Mombasa Beach is approximately 300 meters from the resort.
2. Nyali Beach is approximately 400 meters from the resort.
3. Great Lake, Butterfly Pavilion, approximately 7 km from the resort.

Checking-in process at Voyager Beach Resort

During the peak season, which is mostly during the festive season or holidays, the hotel is crowded. I was worried about taking too long at the check-in. If you are planning to visit the hotel during the peak season, book early.

I was lucky the check-in was fast. The attendants were fast thanks to their advanced technology. With no time, I was in my room resting.

Checking in is from 15:30 to 19:30.
Checking out is from 07:00 to 10:00.

The hotel is popular and overlooks the stunning Nyali Beach. I loved the view from this hotel; it was so therapeutic. The hotel has 236 spacious cabins with a view of the garden and the sea.

All the rooms are clean with beautiful décor, comfort, and stunning views. I fell in love with the views of the ocean in contrast with the white sand on the beach.

The beach is easily accessible from the rooms. This was my favorite place to relax and take my morning and evening walks, deep in my meditation, enjoying the breeze and the view. So therapeutic. It is also safe since it is a private beach.

8. Snorkeling, diving, canoeing, windsurfing, and fishing have additional charges.

There are people to train you before engaging in these activities. I found these activities so interesting, but my few for water could not allow me to enjoy them. The hotel is truly a paradise with activities to fully occupy your stay here.

The hotel has different pools, one for adults and one for babies. The pools are easily accessible from the rooms; therefore, you can relax in them anytime.

For food lovers like me, the dining option is something we look at before checking on anything else. The hotel has diverse dining options where you can enjoy your meals with soft music in the background.

I love exploring different flavors from around the world. This has become my favorite activity every time I go on vacation.

Personally, my vacation was seamless without any trouble. The staff are kind, responsive, and keen on details. They have daily room services; therefore, your room will be clean throughout your stay here.

The staff are well trained and know what is expected of them.

Value for money at Voyager Beach Resort

My value for money was met. I loved the views, the garden with the beautiful palm trees, the pools, and the food.

Compared to PrideInn Paradise Resort, Serena Resort, Sarova Resort, and English Point Resort, the hotel has few bars and restaurants to explore the flavors and different dishes.
