The festive season is here—a season to book that hotel you have always desired for a memorable vacation. My focus was on Shanzu Beach, a stunning, vibrant, rich in culture, and bustling with activities beach. I was looking for accommodation, and I settled for the PrideInn Flamingo Beach Resort.
PrideInn Flamingo Hotel is one of the best hotels in Mombasa, offering luxury, comfort, fun, and activities to occupy your stay here. This is a hotel I chose to create memories in my vacation this year. I was looking forward to a vacation like no other. Something I will look forward to coming back to.

Vacation is all about having fun, relaxing, and enjoying delicious dishes. I brought my kids along on this vacation, and keeping kids busy as you enjoy your vacation is a task.
Thanks to the hotel, they have kids’ activities. I had a chance to enjoy the vacation with my kids with fun activities at the beach and the kid’s club.

The pool is spacious, oval-shaped, and crystal clear. The pool has a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean. It can accommodate adults and children. You can enjoy the sun as you watch your kids swim or even read a book or surf through social media.
I kept my kids busy at the swimming pool during the hot afternoons after having our lunch.
- 2. Uzima gym
Keeping fit amid this luxury is key. I did not want to struggle with my weight after vacation; I needed to keep fit.
Uzima Gym is an indoor gym packed with everything I needed for my morning and evening workouts. They have facilities like cardio conditioning weights, treadmills, and life cycles to keep fit and healthy.
I was sorted and took advantage of the free time I had to work out.

There are places where you can relax with your book, phone, or laptop. There are resting beds with towels for sunbathing. The site is near the restaurant; you can relax here after having your meal.

The club is well-fitted with fun activities to keep the children active and creative. Activities at the club are:

Do not miss to visit Uzuri Spa. You can go as a couple or with your kids. This is a great way to make your vacation memorable.
- 6. A walk on the beach
The hotel has a beautiful and peaceful private beach where you can safely take a walk, build sand castles with your kids, and just have fun. This was our favorite spot in the evening with my kids before going for my workout.
The beach is also a favorable spot for meditation.
- 7. Exploring the nearby attractions
I love to explore and learn new things. I had a chance to visit attraction sites near the resort. I visited:

My favorite part of every vacation is exploring the dishes offered by the restaurants. I love exploring different flavors and different cuisines from all over the world.
I had a chance to explore different flavors here. The dining areas are on an open-air terrace, enjoying the big blue pool. There is a cave by the beach to enjoy intimate moments and a bar at a cliff to enjoy your wine and cocktails.

The restaurants
- 1. Palm restaurant
I explored different flavors in this restaurant, from succulent meats and salads to fresh seafood. The food is prepared by professional chefs. All dishes are fresh, exploring different flavors to give an exquisite buffet dining experience.
- 2. The Blue Lagoon Restaurant
As you dine in the evening in this restaurant, you can enjoy the breathtaking pool, the Indian Ocean, and sunset. In this restaurant, you will enjoy fine dining, personalized services, and high-quality worldwide cuisines and beverages.
- 3. Istanbul Beach Cave Restaurant
I loved this restaurant. This was an interesting dining area. The restaurant is created in a natural cave carved on the shores of the Indian Ocean. My kids loved this restaurant.
You can enjoy a candlelit dinner here as you view the stars and enjoy the view of the Indian Ocean. Just amazing.
- 4. Pavilion Bar
The bar is based on a coral cliff with panoramic views surrounding it. From this bar, you will enjoy the beauty of untouched nature.
You can enjoy your drink with a sunset atmosphere and nighttime ambiance. Entertainment is offered, and a wide selection of beers, whiskies, cocktails, and a la carte.

The hotel has a well-trained staff. They are friendly, keen on details, and responsive. They have their clients at heart. They are also patient and respond to complaints and requests fast.
Our room was always clean during our stay. I loved their services and did not experience any trouble.
Value for money at PrideInn Flamingo Beach and Resort
My value for money was achieved with the comfortable rooms, delicious food, good services, and fun activities. I was satisfied.
Compared to PrideInn Paradise, Serena Hotel, Sarova Whitesand Hotel, and English Point Hotel, the hotel had few activities to explore. Compared to Voyager Beach Resort, the hotel has a wide range of beautiful restaurants to explore different flavours and cuisines.
